PROJET ASMITA
The ASMITA Department of Vigyan Ashram is dedicated to empowering rural women through skill development, production, and entrepreneurship. Established with the vision of creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, ASMITA provides practical training in garment manufacturing, tailoring, embroidery, and value-added textile products following the philosophy of “Learning While Doing.”
The department functions as both a training centre and a production unit, where women gain hands-on experience by working on real customer orders. Along with technical skills, participants learn quality control, production planning, teamwork, and business management, enabling them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs or skilled professionals.
Over the years, ASMITA has successfully trained hundreds of women and collaborated with self-help groups, educational institutions, government agencies, and CSR partners to promote women-led enterprises. Through continuous innovation, modern equipment, and market-oriented production, the department continues to create opportunities for economic independence and social empowerment for rural women.
